The new French President and Bitcoin and Blockchain and such

France chose. No Le Pen, no frexit. Emmanuel Macron, 39 years old, ex-banker, ex-finance minister, won the election campaign as a French state leader with his “en Marche” party founded in 2016. What does that mean for Bitcoin and blockchain? We have a commitment to the blockchain, a photo with a Ledger Blue, and fake news about a Darknet deal.
Wow. What a choice. Large parts of Europe breathe in that it did not become le Pen, but Emanuel Macron, with which the further decline of the EU, at least this time, was stopped. France remains the heart of the community of states.
Some Bitcoin bloggers had speculated before the election, in which heights a frexit under Le Pen could shoot the Bitcoin Prize: “If France does the frexit, the Bitcoin price will increase to new record heights. The uncertainty about the value of euros and france would increase the demand for cryptocurrencies the day after the frexit referendum.”
Probably there would have been something on it: Le Pen had announced that it would replace the euro with a basket of national currencies and, if necessary, to introduce capital controls and to ban Bitcoin. In the past, the combination of monetary policy uncertainty and capital control has proven to be a reliable recipe in order to heat the demand for bitcoins. This was shown, for example, Venezuela, Nigeria and Turkey.
With Macron, however, the frexit is canceled. Europe is largely relieved, while some Bitcoin speculators may be disappointed. But apart from the fact that Macron is not Le Pen-what does the choice of the 39-year-old ex-banker and his party “en Marche” for Bitcoin and Blockchain founded in 2016 mean?
On the one hand, Macron is open to blockchain in finance. As an Economic Minister, he announced at a conference in Bercy, at the end of March 2016, to loosen the legal conditions for the use of blockchain to finance small and medium -sized companies. I can’t understand what he said exactly, but it could be that Macron thinks blockchains for crowdfunding and bond markets as a good idea. If so, that would be an exciting and necessary willingness to get involved in the potential of new technologies.
Macron is already an interesting personality. He is married to his 25-year-old Latin teacher, whom he met as a 15-year-old at the Jesuit grammar school. He received prices for the piano game, became director of the Ministry of Finance, then managed as an investment banker – at Rothschild, in Paris, one of the greatest acquisitions in recent years, was founded under Hollande Minister. With success, as is now becoming clear. Already a high -flyer.
A photo is currently circulating on the Bitcoin forums that Ledger tweeted. Ledger is a French manufacturer of hardware wallets. The photo shows Macron with a Ledger Blue:

So Macron holds a device in the hand with which you can save bitcoins. He bought it? He uses it? The background is not as exciting as expected: On Reddit, an Ledger employee explains that Macron gave a speech at the CAP Digital in March last year. A salesman from Ledger had given Macron the device in his hand and took a photo. “Let yourself be photographed with random French things was part of his job as finance minister and general representative of French technology. Sorry, he’s not a Bitcoin Maximalist yet, but we can work on it.”
Finally we still have the mandatory dirt campaign. Since the election of Donald Trump, it has apparently been a good tone in the election campaign to publish Leaks shortly before the urn gang, which show a particularly hideous picture of a candidate. A shock documents for Macron have appeared on the web. Wikileaks has linked it and began to check the leaks for their own publication. The French media were silent about these leaks because it is not allowed to report on the candidates so shortly before the election.
In the leaks there are supposedly information on how corrupt Macron is and how he and his party have evaded taxes. Among them is also a screenshot that allegedly shows how macron or. One of his helpers with Bitcoin on a Darknet market that designer drug bought 3mmc-including proof of the transaction on the blockchain. Macron’s campaign team have already admitted that some of the Leaks are authentic. However, others are fake. Wikileaks has confirmed that not all documents are clean, and the files have been discovered in the files, evidence of manipulations with Russian Word software. Since Wladimir Putin already supports Marine Le Pens Front National, speculation in the participation of Russian cyber intelligence services is not so far-fetched.
Anyway: I am convinced that France’s new president will enrich European politics. And hopefully also the European Bitcoin and Blockchain economy.
